Canine Good Citizen Prep

The American Kennel Club's Canine Good CitizenŽ (CGC) Program was started in 1989 to reward purebred and mix breed dogs who have good manners at home, in public places and in the presence of other dogs. The CGC Program stresses responsible pet ownership for owners and basic good manners for dogs. This class is designed to prepare you for each of the 10 exercises included in the CGC Test, such as politely accepting a stranger, grooming, the presence of another dog, walking politely with you in public, dealing with distractions while on your walk, and to sit, down and wait for you to call them. The CGC Test is offered several times a year in various locations nearby.
